Victims of Kohl’s parking lot stabbing: a ‘doting father’ and a young woman ‘full of joy’
A man and a woman brutally stabbed to death at the same Kohl’s parking lot are remembered as “doting parents and happy children”. The Kohl’s store in the 300 block of East Cesar Chavez Rd in Santa Maria, Calif., was the site of the killing, which happened just a week after the fatal stabbing in Minnesota. The mother, mother-in-law and young son of Nichole were present when several suspects entered the parking lot in the early morning hours of Sunday, Feb. 17. But the attack ended when the suspects were killed during a confrontation with police. Investigators are still trying to determine if the father knew that police were coming.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s. Police describe him as 6 feet tall and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
