Congress to see record breaking number of women in office come January
“The female representation in Congress is a welcome development in the historically male dominated halls of Congress, but it is also a sign of a growing number of women who feel as if they can succeed in this field despite the odds.”
To say the least, that is a very positive thing.
According to recent and reliable media sources, the number of women serving in Congress has now hit a record of 70 women, and counting, in the 113th Congress, making it the second-most female-represented Congress in history. It is important to note at this point that these women — at least all 70 members of Congress — do not hold offices currently in the 113th Congress, thus, they are not running for Congress.
