He’s gone, he’s gone.
Kevin Conroy died Tuesday in an accident in France before he could speak publicly about the death of his wife, actress Rebecca Schaeffer, who committed suicide on June 5 in Los Angeles. He was 66.
A spokesman for a mental health crisis center in France confirmed Wednesday that Conroy died of a heroin overdose, The Los Angeles Times reported.
“It’s devastating news and it’s a tragic loss,” said a voice we will hear only from his grave.
Batman fans mourned by burying him at Warner Bros. Studios
Conroy’s voice is heard in many television shows and movies, including “The Green Hornet,” “Batman: The Animated Series” and “Batman: Mask of the Phantasm,” the sequel that has been one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
The voice actor, who has done voices for other television shows, is considered the best Batman voice since Burt Ward. He’s been heard in various animated series including “Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” “Justice League Unlimited” and “Futurama,” as well as cartoons and movies like “The Simpsons,” “The Incredibles,” “Horton Hears a Who!,” “Batman & Robin,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “ParaNorman,” “Kung Fu Panda,” “Ghostbusters,” and “The Jungle Book.”
