James Corden admits he was “ungracious” to restaurant staff.
The 59-year-old actor and his wife, Emily Blunt, were out for dinner in the capital when they became embroiled in a row over the bill.
Corden insisted it was the staff members who were ungracious and said: “They were so rude. I was quite rude.”
The star also admitted he had a “fight” with the waitress over a drink order.
In a statement, the restaurant says the incident occurred after the two diners had been seated, and Corden asked for the check.
“The waitress began to explain the bill and James asked her to stop. As the waitress went back and began to refund the money, James said ‘That’s it. I am going to ask for a refund.'”
The statement adds Ms Blunt and Corden left the restaurant shortly after.

During their altercation with the waitress, Corden told her: “You’re rude.”
He added: “I will be making a complaint with the hotel. I have a lot of issues with this establishment.”
In the wake of his incident, the restaurant published a statement on its Facebook page.
“While James and his wife Emily were attending dinner at our restaurant on Thursday evening, they became embroiled in a heated exchange with staff. The pair were seated at a table when the waitress became annoyed by James’s mannerisms and repeated a request for the bill. James asked the waitress to stop talking and asked her to refund the bill.”
The statement adds: “James was unhappy with how the bill was being worked out and asked the waitress to leave the room with him.
