Soccer star Paul Pogba’s brother arrested in connection with alleged extortion attempt
FIFA’s ethics committee said on Monday it had asked the United States to consider charging an unnamed man in connection with an alleged extortion attempt on a football coach in Barcelona.
The American was arrested on Sunday in Barcelona and has since been released on bail until the end of March. The coach, Andres Iniesta, has denied the allegations.
FIFA said that on Monday it had called Spain’s civil prosecutor in Madrid to ask her to ask the American to respond to the allegations.
